Camavinga Real Madrid Jersey Number

Shirt Number History of Eduardo Camavinga

Real Madrid's New Number 16

Eduardo Camavinga, Real Madrid's new French midfielder, has been assigned the number 16 shirt for the upcoming season. This is a significant change from his previous shirt number, 25, which he wore during his time at Rennes.

Camavinga had a choice of three shirt numbers when he joined Real Madrid: 16, 25, and 27. He ultimately decided on 16, which was previously worn by Marcos Llorente and Mateo Kovacic.

The number 16 has a long history at Real Madrid, having been worn by some of the club's greatest players, including Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane, and Sergio Ramos.

Camavinga's Shirt Number History

Camavinga has worn a variety of shirt numbers throughout his career. He wore the number 17 for Rennes, the number 18 for the France national team, and the number 25 for Real Madrid.

It is unclear why Camavinga chose to change his shirt number to 16. However, it is possible that he is simply following in the footsteps of some of Real Madrid's greatest players.
